| I have recently re-opened my shop and would like to give free postage (Royal
Mail 1st Class signed for) for all orders over £50 but I can't work out how
to do it?
I have instant checkout with a weight based postage bands but can't see a
way to add a value based postage method that kicks in once the price band on
parts has been reached.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

| Easy, shipping options can have minimum buys. So I made a price band shipping
option with a $0 shipping charge and set the minimum buy to $60. Anyone with
$60 or more in their cart will see the shipping option, anyone under that cannot.

You can also set a discount rule on a shipping method and discount 100% of the
shipping when the order is more than $X

| This method will limit the amount of shipping methods you have to create, while
firestar246's method will enable you to have a specific label for your free
shipping method.

This is a good plan, especially if the free and the normal shipping are in the
same group number. When the order minimum satisfies the free shipping method,
it will be the lowest shipping cost in that group, and the normal shipping will
not be shown.
