In the coast guard set 369 the number of red bricks 1x4 and 1x6 is too small
and only correct, if the alternative part with sticker is counted as usual inventory.
This is not correct in my eyes. Therefore the number of red bricks 1x4 has to
be 10 and the number of red bricks 1x6 needs to be 8.
I just checked twice how it’s possible to build this set along the inventory,
using the original building instruction.

Btw in the instructions there’s an unclear view on the stairs to the helicopter
platform, which can lead to a lack of two black bricks 1x1 at the end. There
must be a brick 1x4 for correct stairs.

I have marked the red 1x4 and 1x6 and from what I can see the inventory is correct.
Where do you see the missing parts in the instructions?

If you select parts exactly according to the inventory without the alternate
parts and try to built the full set, you will see, that one brick 1x4 and one
brick 1x6 is missing. I did so twice with no other parts left, so I don’t think
I did a mistake. It’s not enough to look at the instructions, please really build
the set and you will see the effect.

Can you post pictures of the building steps you took so that we can see where
the "missing" bricks would go?

I built the set and the inventory looks correct.
In the photos that Turez attached, the positions of 1x4 and 1z6 red bricks are
pointed.
Did you build the set using the instructions online or do you have the instructions?
There may be two versions of instructions. Please check the photos attached in
the Turez' message and compare it with your built or with your instructions.
Were else do you need one extra 1x4 and one extra 1x6 bricks?

The bricks were missing directly under the roof, let’s say the ones which carry
the sticker. These are actually only alternate parts and should be respected
in the inventory even if no sticker is available. I‘ll get the set once more
and build it again directly from the original instructions, which I have.

Small BL vocabulary point: The stickered parts are not in the Alternate section,
they are in the Counterpart section.
If the bricks that are used for this stickered assembly weren’t in the Regular
section, a 1x4 arch would be missing too.  It’s not.

Turez took the time to mark on his pictures all the 1x4 (green line) and 1x6
(yellow line) Red bricks that were used in the instructions, and their numbers
match the quantities that are in the inventory (resp. 9 and 7).

So please look carefully on your instructions where you see another 1x4 and another
1x6 and point the step number (or better, show us a picture).

(My guess is that you’re using/seeing a 1x4 and 1x6 instead of a 2x4 and a 1x2
in step 11.)

That’s exactly the point in step 11, where I could not recognize precisely on
my original instructions how this part is built. I chose a 1x4 and a 1x6 instead
of a 2x4 and a 1x2. Funny enough, that I did not have the other parts in sight.
Nothing seemed to be left over.

I do have a paper copy of instructions.
On the step 11, the following parts are used
2 x

Part No: 3004  Name: Brick 1 x 2
*
3004 Brick 1 x 2
Parts: Brick {Red}

2 x

Part No: 3010  Name: Brick 1 x 4
*
3010 Brick 1 x 4
Parts: Brick {Red}

2 x

Part No: 3001old Name: Brick 2 x 4 without Cross Supports
*
3001old Brick 2 x 4 without Cross Supports
Parts: Brick {Red}

2 x
[p3004, 5]

Therefore the quantity of the red bricks 1x4 and 1x6 is correct in the inventory.

Yes, I found where I did the mistake. Thanks for helping me out.
