Dear all,

maybe it was already discussed and I missed it, but:

Why retain all items in my inventory after sold out, I activate nearly every
day now that I do not want this, useless, they retain and the activation that
I do not want it is gone.

Thanks for helping me.

I’m not sure that I understand fully, but…

using your My Inventory page: https://www.bricklink.com/inventory.asp

-Check the Category box near the top of the page.
-Check the two radio tabs shown in the screenshot below
-Hit Submit Changes at the bottom of the page

If I've misunderstood, please amplify your question a bit more.

It's the obvious details that undo me too, you're not alone in that

Occasionally there is a glitch that will cause this to happen as well. Somewhere
there is an option to retain for a set amount of time, so I simply changed that
setting.

It is useful if you don't add all your stock of an item. If someone buys
all you have listed, you can just update the zero to a number to list more rather
than having to list again from scratch.

I do this frequently. Also, if someone buys the last of an item, the original
listed date info disappears. With the 0 quantity of retained items, you can go
back and look at how long that item took to sell out.

Which is absolutely correct. The downside to keeping/reusing zero-qty listings,
is that when/if you do relist, you lose the Notify capacity. The Notify is only
allowed once per lot.

Yes, true. Although I wonder how useful that is on the more common parts anyway.
For scarcer parts or figures, it is worth relisting a new lot instead of refreshing
a zero stockroom item.
