@all here at BrickLink,

Dan remains a true icon for me. What his vision encompassed and what was beyond
that, we will never know. He was not given the time to realize his dreams

Happy reminders go back to my early days here at BL, now 13 years ago. Dan popped
in now and then in discussions and forum threads about the database and more
silly stuff. Soon after it went quiet....

I never met him, but his spirit is still here.
Let's keep that spirit alive, in honour of Dan!

Keep building, keep connecting, keep helping!

Cheers

Likewise, I never had the pleasure of meeting him. But I recall he was quite
accessible during the first year that BrickBay existed. As time went on, there
was many pressures pulling at him in different directions. I miss him, and I
suspect that most people here do as well.

I try to keep his spirit alive around here with every little thing that I do
on this site. People that know me well already know this, but my life would not
be the same without having found this place. You are truly missed, Dan.

Leg godt!

I am forever grateful for this site and the positive effect it has had on my
life! There have been ups and downs, for sure, but I have gained and learned
so much.

Dan was a good guy with such a vision. He started out on a site, Perron. Developed
his own vision and created Bricklink on his own. He was also assailable. Used
so many of my images of early sets and was grateful for them. He was a collector
and also bought a lot off his own site.
This site made it possible for selling my collection and many things possible
back then for me. There was a very reasonable commission for selling. He was
not greedy. He could have easily made a lot more money but did not because he
loved Lego and wanted a site where everyone could sell and make a bit of money
here and there.
I owe a lot to this man
