They still have both boxes green. They seem voluntarily closed to catch up….

Wrong. Store is now suspended.
Sometimes you have to actually be there, read between the lines and listen, rather
than just look at what you can see from the outside.

Reason for suspension - non payment of fees. So it looks like BL is protecting
itself rather than potential customers.

Sounds about right... Hopefully PayPal will protect those customers that used
that payment option.

Weird that they would be suspended for non-payment of fees. If that was actually

I don't know, I'm not sure how quickly those suspensions come after non-payment.
It has never happened to me (yet)
Let's hope it is not a serious illness or worse. It happened to me once,
but luckily it was a quiet time of the year and I received only one order before
I was able to log in and close my store. I let the buyer know it would be a while
before I could send the order, and that they could cancel or wait, whatever they
preferred. If it is a store that gets 10s of orders a day, it must be much more
difficult. It's not the sort of thing you want to be doing from a hospital
bed.

Non-Payment of Fees - Sellers who do not submit their fee payment by the 15th
day of the next month from the time they are billed will have their store suspended
at the discretion of the BrickLink Administration. Any seller account with an
overdue balance will receive a reminder on the 5th day of the month and will
have 10 more days to submit payment before their selling privileges are revoked.
The account may be terminated if at least 1 more month has passed from the time
the store was suspended for non-payment of fees and payment has still not been
made.
So it is automatically for non-paying fees billed on August 5th

BAsed n what I've read here on the forum, I would never weant to untangle
this type of suspension.

I doubt they would suspended for non-payment of August fees already. My hunch
is that this is for earlier fees.

I've seen that message for the last two weeks+ Other stores that have been
closed have had similar messages. That message alone means nothing. Their lack
of communication and multiple negative feedbacks in such a short time speaks
highly of issues.

I expect this is cause for concern rather than anger. ToyBrickBrigade is one
of the top stores on Bricklink. If they've stopped paying fees and stopped
sending orders and stopped making contact, I don't think it is because they
forgot how to run their business. Something terrible has probably happened.

Well, that's a shame...
Kinda hope it gets straighten-out, the fees and their ability to properly run
a store. I’ve not known them to be dishonest people, which might point to a disruption
in their lives, hopefully not catastrophic. They still hold the distinction as
the highest volume store in orders, on BL (albeit from their years in Idaho,
prior to their move)
I’ve witnessed the recovering of large-stores from crashes like this before.
It happens.

Yeah, that's the thing - no matter what has happened there are always ways
to communicate problems. A quick note on the forum, closing their store or talking
to admins doesn't take much.
Problems were afoot BEFORE 3rd August; they did communicate with me on 23rd August
- no indication that they had any serious problems then (other than communication
and shipping, which was obvious)...

two and I always have to watch for when I lose contact with him, because one

The store appears to be owned and run by more than one person - the message I
got from them clearly indicated that they had staff/others to help. It's
also noted that they've shipped orders (or they were received), right up
until yesterday - US and international.
BTW I work full-time in mental health nursing (over 30 years experience). I know
how it can affect communication between friends and family and the distress it
causes to everyone.

A COVID issue you could affect the whole staff and they are probably worrying
about other issues. I have bought from them before and hope they get it worked
out and are all ok. Also not all the staff is probably involved in all the operations
so they might not realize how things are affecting the store.

There is a lot of wild speculation in this thread. The only semi-official fact,
is concerning the fees.
Some people think it involves illness (or death), some that it involves storm
damage.
Non-payment of fees suggests some kind of financial issue, which could be triggered
by any of the above. At this point all we can do is wait until someone first
firm news posts to the Forum. Folks with outstanding and unshipped orders should
file NSS.
