Hello,

1. Attached is the photo of a lego key chain that I ordered from Japan and I
can't find it listed in your Bricklink listing because I wanted to know what
its item number is.

Thank you

The blister packaging seems a bit too "modern" for that key chain which was likely
released in 1997 or 1998.

Could you post a picture of the backside of the package please?

The keychain does exist officially and was produced in 1997, called "UFO Droid"
but there's not reference nr (source: Lego Collector's Guide 2. edition
- page 846), but I garee that the packaging looks too modern and too "off" for
being genuine Lego. Perhaps the seller hoped to gain more money by fabricating
a package for it?

My advise: send a message to Jan K from Germany (https://www.bricklink.com/feedback.asp?u=Jan_K).
He's like a Yoda when it comes to Lego keychains. He'll probably be able
to tell tyou how "real" this keychain is.

I've never seen one blister packed like that. I guess it could have been
repackaged for the Japanese Market, but the date (six tears later) and "Made
in Japan" seem odd.

Also the number points to thus one (alternate number)

Gear No: 9408 Name: Spyrius Key Chain
*
9408 Spyrius Key Chain
Gear: Key Chain: Space: Spyrius

Reusing a number for a very similar but different item would be strange.

This item was sold in Germany until 2001. At least that is the last catalog entry
I found.
