So.. forgive my inattentiveness, but last time I checked (earlier this year),
the catalog was looking a biiit different from what I was used to for the past
15 years. And since I am a catalog based sorter, I decided to close the main
part of my store on Bricklink for now, focus on other stuff and address the issue
later on. Give it some time for the dust of moving stuff in the catalog to settle.

I recall there was some Dome category, amongst a few other things (didn't
wedge plates also got moved to plate? Or that was about to happen?)....

But the other day I was browsing my inventory and I noticed everything is...
preeetty much the way it used to be? Tried to search the forum but didn't
exactly find an explanation.. whatever happened? I mean, I'm fine with it,
but just wondering.. was it cancelled or just postponed?

A lot of the things were not approved by BrickLink, so we did not proceed with
them.

Aha I see. I thought they were already implemented and then rolled back, but
maybe I just recalled reading the proposed changes and trying to move things
around based on that.

For your reference there are a couple of help pages that document this:
"multiple simultaneous item movements between categories or item types, typically
undertaken as part of a catalog project. All such movements are also documented
in catalog change logs."

Maybe not that helpful in this case, but I like to check this link from time
to time:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogCategory.asp?catName=&catTypeID=8&sortBy=I&sortAsc=D

(shows newly introduced categories for sets and parts)

Wow! That's a really hidden page right there, took me a while to understand
how to navigate to it even when having the link Thanks!

@Leftoverbricks: thanks, yeah, I was aware of those, together with this one it
gives a pretty good overview when you need to catch up on catalog developents
