Someone messaged me about a specific part, I would have liked to have sent the
picture keeping within the messaging system but there isn't a "feature" for
that. We now have to communicate outside BL via email which is fine but wouldn't
it be nice if we could attach a pic if we wanted to?

Thanks for allowing me to make a suggestion.

Yes, it would be nice. It's a feature that's been asked for going
back awhile here. It would a very useful function for sellers.

There is a clunky workout, but it's time consuming and highly impractical
to use, your My Images feature: https://www.bricklink.com/imgDir.asp?v=A

Voted: yes

-Thanks

Someone would likely have to moderate them to keep the site safe. Otherwise,
I agree that they would be helpful.

YES...

Would like to show pics of any NIB/sealed sets if a potential customer asks...

I loaded the pic directly to the item in my inventory which allows the buyer
to see it. The link you posted says it adds a pic to my splash page/about me
page which I do not wish to do for an item part.

(on the page)
On this page, you can upload images to be used on your about me page and store
splash page. Images for your items for sale and discussion forum posts are uploaded
and stored elsewhere

Thanks to all that responded!

The operative words are “to be used”: it’s a place to store images FOR your About
Me and Splash pages, but putting images there doesn’t make them automatically
appear on those pages.

Once you have images in this place, you can link them “easily” in those pages…
or in your messages.
