| If the exact mold type is still in use today, it can come back in any color in
the current palette if designers choose to.
An example that comes to mind (from the cafe corner) is the light bluish gray
2x2 turntable. Hasn't been made in that color for years and super expensive,
but the part itself is still in use in other colors. So it could reappear in
gray one day.
If the mold got an update, like the white 1x2x3 panels from that same cafe corner,
then no it will never come back. Lego will always choose the updated mold.
If you are talking about retired vintage parts (like parts from the 60s, 70s,
80s etc) then no. There are reasons these parts were retired (theme retired,
part doesn't fit the current system anymore, production troubles etc) and
these reasons prevent them from coming back. I'm sure there are exceptions
but generally no.
If the colour is retired (oldgray for example) then also no. (One exception
here is Teal, which DID get revived)
