Hello,
I recently purchased a LEGO set here and had trouble processing payment. When
I paid online I got no message saying payment when though so I did it again.
That time I got the expected message. After a few days I checked my account and
the payment was made twice. No super big amount, like USD 100, but anyway, annoying.
Bank wont take responsibility, says I should contect seller. I've done so,
no reply.
So, in one sense, the seller has done nothing wrong.
On the other hand, he's not completely honest either.
Would it be proper to let this mistake of mine (or rather, my bank, in my opinion)
be reflected in my feedback for the order?
Best regards,
Peter

If you paid by Paypal you can cancel the payment or start a dispute.
If you paid by bankwire the seller should refund the second payment.

I paid by IBAN (bankwire). Seller won't reply to e-mails. My question is
whether or not it would be OK to leave negative feedback if he doesn't pay
back.

Has he read your messages? If so, I would. Yes, you made a mistake, but he shouldn't
keep that money. The honest thing would be for him to return it. If he's
not going to be honest about that, then I wouldn't trust him as a seller.

If you've exhausted every avenue of communication (did you send an email
*and* a message through BrickLink?) then I would say yes if the seller hasn't
responded after about a week or so.

I agree. Especially on the "every avenue of communication" bit: try another communication
channel, as I've experienced spam might capture Bricklink communications
Also give the seller some time to process and respond.

When all this is done without result, yes, this would be a valid reason for a
negative feedback.

Ask your bank they can ask the money back from the sellers bank

Hello Rhonny,
I have asked them. They can only send a message asking him to return the money,
no guarantee, and it costs 50 EUR. So I'm not doing that...

I sure would leave negative in this situation. I have received duplicate payments
many times and have refunded them as soon as I noticed, Buyer did not even need
to ask.
