was recently added to simplify a lot of listings and make it easier
for monochrome collectors to find parts. I believe it is very sensible. I collect
a slightly different thing. Monochrome torsos with yellow hands. They are extremely
common in 80s minifigs and still in creator sets. Like the monochrome it is
a little difficult to find what all is available. Could we consider making a
unified listing for these as well? They would collect over a dozen listings
into one.

If we take that step, it would be better if most are standardized too, so variable
color for torso/arms and then white/black/yellow hands etc.

I don't think that's necessary - yellow hands are pretty standard! In
fact when I think of a "plain" torso assembly I generally think of one with arms
the same color as the torso and yellow hands.

The admin team has discussed this, and we have decided not to move forward with
it. Adding this torso assembly would create a snowball effect for changing a
lot of other torso assemblies, and the system has worked fine for over 20 years
without needing to make changes like this. We view the monochrome entries as
a special case, and will not be changing the rest of the structure for cataloging
torso assemblies.
