| At first I thought my seller had put this terse message in my invoice, but then
I remembered I had heard it mentioned in the forum before. Having now seen it
first-hand I understand how bad it really is:
"For BrickLink Order #XXXXXXXX, you must pay on site using the PAY NOW button
on the order details page. Any payments made using other methods will result
in an improper transaction because tax is not paid to the state. This message
overrules any other payment instructions mentioned below if any."
Come on, BrickLink, surely you can compose a more professional-sounding message
than this. I'm a little shocked that this is what my buyers have seen when
I send a manual invoice. I resent this type of message being inserted into MY
invoices without my knowledge especially since it looks like I am the one sending
it. If you're going to insert such an off-putting message into your sellers'
invoices at least own it and let OUR buyers know that we sellers have nothing
to do with it.
e.g.:
****MESSAGE FROM BRICKLINK****
For BrickLink Order #XXXXXXXX, you must pay on site using the PAY NOW button
on the order details page. Any payments made using other methods will result
in an improper transaction because tax is not paid to the state. This message
overrules any other payment instructions mentioned below if any."

| +1 - agreed - it could be more tactfully written so we sellers on BL don't
sound like we don't appreciate each and every customer that comes our way.

| I had no idea this was being inserted. I agree as well. The wording could use
quite a bit of work.

| The response I received the other day questioning feedback was a shock to say
the least. The customer support team, regardless of pay or donating their time
needs to be at least tactful or impartial when responding to an inquiry. I got
a smug cocky answer which was unwarranted, but not surprising. I wound up dealing
with the user directly and got farther.

From the makers of "sellers are supposed to respect the law but we actually we
don't really care whether they do" comes the new hit "this is how it works,
but don't be surprised if the seller claims something else in this message"

I got one auto invoice today and the message is gone, compared to one I received
on the 7th that had it.
Same old, Same old. Give us something without saying anything, Take stuff away
without telling us. The horse is dead and I am tired of it. Maybe this panel
thing will help us get new managers that know how to be professional.
