So far I only found this set in catalogs of 1966 and 1967.
Do you have catalogs of 1968 showing this set?
And could you please provide proof for your requests.

If this set was only released in 1966 and 1967, I am having some doubts about
some alternate parts from your request and those who are already in the inventory.

Part No: bb0393c85 Name: Electric, Wire 4.5V with four Metal 1-prong connectors, 85 Studs Long
*
bb0393c85 Electric, Wire 4.5V with four Metal 1-prong connectors, 85 Studs Long
Parts: Electric, Wire & Connector
was only used in 1966. Since 1967, the blue connectors with hollow pins were
produced, as for train 116.

The blue motor
[p=bb0007,7]
was used for few trians and between 1966-late 1967.

The black one
[p=bb0007,11]

was used only for

Set No: 116 Name: Starter Train Set with Motor
*
116-1 (Inv) Starter Train Set with Motor
361 Parts, 1967
Sets: Train: 4.5V

I checked about 30 used copies so far (in the last 2-3 years) and only found
it once in Germany. (and all parts were early variant) Unfortunately I did not
buy it.

The black
[p=bb0007pb01,11]
was introduced for few sets, specially for

Set No: 118 Name: Electronic Train
*
118-1 (Inv) Electronic Train
107 Parts, 1968
Sets: Train: 4.5V
as in can be seen on the instructions

http://www.peeron.com/scans/118-1/4

This motor should be the regular one for 118. (request in pending condition)
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1264807

Since 1969, the motor

Part No: bb0006  Name: Electric, Motor 4.5V Type B 12 x 4 x 3 1/3 (Train)
*
bb0006 (Inv) Electric, Motor 4.5V Type B 12 x 4 x 3 1/3 (Train)
Parts: Electric, Motor
in blue and black was introduced for

Set No: 138 Name: Electronic Train
*
138-1 (Inv) Electronic Train
113 Parts, 1969
Sets: Train: 4.5V
and other sets.

Then what about

Part No: bb0007c01pb01  Name: Electric, Motor 4.5V Type A 12 x 4 x 4 (Train) with Engraved '4,5 VOLT' Pattern
*
bb0007c01pb01 Electric, Motor 4.5V Type A 12 x 4 x 4 (Train) with Engraved '4,5 VOLT' Pattern
Parts: Electric, Motor
?

I checked many trains. This motor was produced either in 1967 or 1968.
I found it with one or two used train

Set No: 115 Name: Building Set
*
115-1 (Inv) Building Set
190 Parts, 1973
Sets: Universal Building Set: Basic Set
and I think

Set No: 100 Name: 4.5V Motor with Wheels (Large Version)
*
100-2 (Inv) 4.5V Motor with Wheels (Large Version)
15 Parts, 1966
Sets: Train: Supplemental: 4.5V
or maybe

Set No: 100 Name: 4.5V Motor with Wheels (Small Version)
*
100-1 (Inv) 4.5V Motor with Wheels (Small Version)
13 Parts, 1966
Sets: Train: Supplemental: 4.5V
(It was in UK)

I was surprised to find one black one in the Netherlands (on BL) and I bought
it. It did not show up anywhere again. Is it used for early 116-1?

My conclusion is that this motor has a short production in 1967 and was used
(at least the blue one) for 115 and 100 (and 112 and 113?).

Don't understand me wrong, I do appreciate all your info on vintage trains
and I'm glad there are other vintage train nerds besides me, that actually
are interested in the exact inventories and contributing to the Bricklink catalog.

Looking at change requests, I do check inventories of other sets (and I do read
all your replies), but I prefer handling requests one at a time.

I asked for evidence for this particular set, but I can't find any in your
reply. As far as I know, this set was only sold in 1966-1967. I don't have
any evidence it was sold after 1967 and no evidence, that the following parts
came in this set:

[P=bb0007pb01,7]

Part No: 996ac96blue Name: Electric, Wire 4.5V with four Blue 1-prong Connectors Hollow Pin, 96 Studs Long
*
996ac96blue (Inv) Electric, Wire 4.5V with four Blue 1-prong Connectors Hollow Pin, 96 Studs Long
Parts: Electric, Wire & Connector {White}
if it did appear in this set, the color should be white instead of blue

Part No: 3058b Name: Plate, Modified 6 x 16 with Motor Cutout Wide
*
3058b Plate, Modified 6 x 16 with Motor Cutout Wide
Parts: Plate, Modified {Light Gray}

This plate was added as alternate back in 2010. The regular variant with Cutout
narrow could only be used with the old metal connectors. Imo all three parts
were released in 1968 and the older regular variants were used in 1966-1967.
The change request for the alternate Motor Plate was obviously not based on a
boxed set, otherwise the wire would also have been added, so would the wheels
with tires I added 2 days ago.

I checked the inventory in 2019, based on Instruction only. After that I bought
a boxed set, with original contents in excellent condition. My set has those
3 parts listed as regular. As soon as I have time I will add images to my change
request:
https://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=317582

I found images of this set on Peeron. It has another box insert then my set.
I don't want to use these images as evidence though, because it also shows
a batterybox that was released in 1969, so items obviously have been replaced.

Part No: bb0045c02  Name: Electric 4.5V Battery Box 6 x 11 x 3 Type II for 1-Prong & 2-Prong Connectors
*
bb0045c02 (Inv) Electric 4.5V Battery Box 6 x 11 x 3 Type II for 1-Prong & 2-Prong Connectors
Parts: Electric, Battery Box {Blue}

Unless this set was sold after 1967, I would like to ask you to give it a second
thought and let me know. Same if you have evidence this set was sold after 1967.

Keep on tracking!

Part No: 3058b Name: Plate, Modified 6 x 16 with Motor Cutout Wide

3058b Plate, Modified 6 x 16 with Motor Cutout Wide
Parts: Plate, Modified {Light Gray}

This plate was added as alternate back in 2010. The regular variant with Cutout
narrow could only be used with the old metal connectors.

I am not sure about this. May double check this if I own the parts.

  Imo all three parts
were released in 1968 and the older regular variants were used in 1966-1967.
The change request for the alternate Motor Plate was obviously not based on a
boxed set, otherwise the wire would also have been added, so would the wheels
with tires I added 2 days ago.

The starting point of this request was a copy I bought from UK. Its box was poor
but it came with all its books and original parts, broken motor,...
I then checked few other used sets and used the above timeline.

  I checked the inventory in 2019, based on Instruction only. After that I bought
a boxed set, with original contents in excellent condition. My set has those
3 parts listed as regular. As soon as I have time I will add images to my change
request:

I found images of this set on Peeron. It has another box insert then my set.
I don't want to use these images as evidence though, because it also shows
a batterybox that was released in 1969, so items obviously have been replaced.

Unless this set was sold after 1967, I would like to ask you to give it a second
thought and let me know. Same if you have evidence this set was sold after 1967.

This request can be approved without using the fact that it was sold in UK in
1968:
