Hello all, I've got several Toys R Us and Barnes & Noble build event sets
(May 4th promo events, etc). I don't see these sets in the Bricklink Catalog.
Is it possible to add those? (Can I submit them?) Or is this an area that
is not added to the catalog typically?

Thanks for your time!

These are not added to the catalog at the present time. I can't say if they
will ever be added or not.

Cheers,
Randy

Thanks for the response. Do you think there is an issue if I try to submit them?
I've got the sets so I can get an inventory, pictures, etc.

How rude... I collect sets like these and would be interested in seeing what
this seller has; I might wish to purchase one, or more, and that would be profitable
for everyone, I would think?

So, since this site is not willing to assist a seller list their items, what
methods are available for us collectors to patronize sellers without violating
any of the site's "rules"?

Thanks for your consideration...

You can sell them in the Custom Items section.

The decision to add these sets to the catalog is not my decision. I was just
relaying information. And that information was that these "sets" have never been
accepted into the catalog, and they may never be accepted into the catalog. Meaning
that if they were to be submitted to the catalog right now, they would be rejected.
That may change in the future, but I know about as much on that as the next person.
What seller's can do is list them as custom items in their stores.

Cheers,
Randy

That's another interesting piece of the puzzle, thanks. Hopefully the OP
will read this thread and get that information.

I am still trying to figure this site out, it's not easy... is there a place
on the site I can go and see an organizational chart? And job descriptions?

Thanks, again,
James

Thank you all for the replies. I will certainly consider listing as 'custom'
items.

If you don't mind me asking, why do they choose not to add these to the catalog?
(Maybe you won't know, but I am curious anyways). They are official Lego
sets with Lego pieces, and the instructions have Lego logo and trademark all
over it. I thought it fit into the requirements for adding to the catalog.
Thanks for your time, I'm just trying to understand the guidelines for the
catalog.

Todd

I believe it has to do with the fact that they were not originally a sealed,
packed product.

Yes.

Mostly (not all and probably in not every country) they are just loose parts
in shop. You are given instruction and then build it from parts which are on
the table and then you can take it home in zip lock bag. I was able to obtain
few in polish Toys'R'Us.

So it was years ago decided by previous admins that we accept only instructions
for them and they can be found here.
