When I did not see these approved yesterday, I thought you were on holiday
Sorry to hear that you are not allowed for this any longer, you were quite on
the ball as it were. Hopefully we do not all have to wait for US releases, that
would be quite painful.
Are we sure that inventories can be loaded up for these new sets as TLG have
not released the inventories or the instructions for any of those I've
got? Or do we not have to wait for official release of inventries, unlike the
sets?
By the way - what is the position with parts - when is it confirmed that TLG
has officially released it?

Us admins know about as much as you do. We have been told for about a month now
that paperwork would be forthcoming that we would need to sign. Some kind of
legal agreements, I assume. We have not seen anything yet. Then, all of us were
asked to stop all work as of December 17 with no warning or explanation why we
couldn’t do anything. We don’t know when we will be able to do anything again.
Cheers,
Randy
P.S. I am on vacation anyways right now, but I was hoping to do things when I
returned.

This is my son’s profile. I announced/introduced it here in the forum back when
he opened it some years ago, actually got a couple of favorite store registers
in doing so! Anyway it’s not his post, but mine.
My son (Gavin) asked me this morning to look into an order he had placed before
he left for Las Vegas, that shows no signs of movement from the seller. I did,
then got to reading the forum and replied to Randy’s post while still logged
into my son’s account. After doing so and with further thought, I felt it was
wrong to post in the forum using his account, and deleted the post.
Gavin has posted in the forum a total of 4 times in the 4 plus years since joining
BL and I don’t see him getting any more involved in the forum. His interests
are business and politics, mostly politics, which is not allowed in open discussion
here.

| Still cautiously optimistic.
Unfortunately we are likely to see negative changes or changes perceived by some/many
as negative before we see benefits, I worry about them too.
Easier to remove things that exist before adding beneficial changes.
Well that's how I'm choosing to view it, all too easy for me to see it
otherwise but I'm trying to be positive, makes a change.

The total change of what Bricklink is or its eventual demise. People cannot
be volunteers and are told to do nothing portends the retooling of Bricklink
by a very large company who has not been part of this community from the beginning.
A large company who made Bricklink take Lego out of all the store names.

It was rather obvious from the pending approval backlog that something was going
on. However, I'm fairly confident that it's nothing bad. Just a transition.
A little more communication from the start might have been rather helpful in
this situation. But perhaps such communication was affected by an NDA . . .
I hear they're magical in that way.

Despite all problems at Bricklink, the soul of this site always stayed the same.
I sincerely hope that soul and the community will not change. I hope they pay
the admins because they should not have to work for free at such a money making
venture. I do think that the forum will become more tightly controlled. eBay
forums are severely managed so that nothing is said bad about eBay. I think
that will be coming. I guess all we can do is wait and see. I feel a lot of
info will not be coming soon or until after the change is made.

How would you do that, since new parts in the set are also not be released, and
neither the minifigures? Maybe I've got the idea wrong, but I fail to see
how it would policy to only approve new sets once released and then allow minifigures
which is not part of any set to be bought and sold. I know the policy prior to
the new ToS was for sets not yet officially released to be dealt with in this
manner, but since the new ToS also prohibts the sale of anything not officially
releaaed by TLG, I still have to wonder about the contents of a set, and what
purpose it would serve to actually add anything prior to the set in which it
appears, being approved.
I will anyway do a few and see how this works. Besides, from what I can gather,
Russell is now the only one actually doing anything on the catalogue, so there
is probably a time issue as well.

The most obvious case in point to me is that I have a case of DC CMF and am doing
the work behind the scenes, but it is always a massive undertaking and there
is so much to keep straight. I won't be home on January 1 when they are
approved. But if we had a sandbox level, I would get it all done before January
1st and they could hit the catalog inventoried.
