...I have an unbuilt original for sale, with nearly all bags still sealed. No
box nor instruction book. Wondering how much I should price it at now? I dropped
it to 30% off at the end of last week (so it's just above $1000, which is
the lowest price on Bricklink, plus mine includes free shipping). I've debated
taking the listing to ebay to perhaps garner more interest.

I'm not looking to purchase the new one (nor the Millennium Falcon), as I'd
rather spend that money on Ninjago City and then some.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I may also consider taking best offers at some point.

Thanks,

Andrew

Personally, at that price and without box or instructions I'd rather BrickLink
the parts (in fact I'd buy all new LBG/DBG instead of the old grays while
I'm at it).

$1000 is cheaper than some on sale, but personally it's still considerably
more than I'd pay for it, especially with the new one due to come out in
less than two weeks (to VIP members).

There's one on eBay in the US, with box, inner boxes and instructions etc
going for $650 BIN. It's been on there a little while too. If people aren't
buying at that price, then $1000 seems overly optimistic - even if the parts
are new in the bag.

But that's MHO. Which may or not bare any relation to the real world opinion!

I expect the value of your set is about to go down quite a bit. The customer
who will pay more for yours than the price of the new one that is bigger and
improved is going to be hard to find. Not impossible, perhaps.

When the taj mahal was rereleased, the price went down on the original one 2-3
hundred I believe. Luckily I has just sold mine before the announcement.

I would part it out, that's your best bet, I think

That's a LOT of parts! I may have to do just that. Thanks for the response.

Sincerely,

Andrew

Do you know what year yours came out? If it is old grays, it'll be a pretty
valuable part out.

Yes I purchased it at the Lego Store when attending BrickFest 2004. It's
entirely old gray. I may consider that after awhile or inactivity. Thanks for
the response.

Sincerely,

Andrew
