Thanks for posting that. Good Grief - why is there so much of an 'over order"?
A simple MRP system wold have told them how many of each they need to build the
sets they had orders for and if they couldn't do that Lego could - I thought
they were working together on that.

They will now need to get their money back for the excess - wonder how they will
do that?

LEGO is not going to allow that to happen.

Good to know. Similar thread at brick picker.

They could always donate them to charity . Actually charities looking at the
quantity.

Yeah, compete with their customers that are selling new bricks. Dump any stock
you have now before they flood the market! Although given some of the feedback
on the speed of shipping and import tax mistakes due to clear delivery charges,
I think all non-US sellers should be fine

Although it is a newly uploaded video, I think it is quite old. At one point
they say end of June, so it could well be before they have shipped that many
orders.

Yes, that video is several weeks old, so it doesn't really show what is left
over. Right now, most of the floorspace in that large room is empty. The last
ADP orders are getting shipped out this afternoon.

A decision about what to do with the leftover parts was only made recently, and
they will all be shipped back home to Billund, with the exception of a small
quantity of each lot which we are keeping in the BrickLink office to support
the ADP missing parts service.

As for the possibility that these parts would end up on the BrickLink marketplace
(even indirectly), that was actually a VERY serious concern from the beginning
of this project. And it was probably the primary concern that led to the decision
to send all of them back.

Are there any clues what is going to happen to the warehouse space now. Filled
again for another round?

The video really shows what a nightmare it must be picking so many sets by hand,
and how important inventory control and location must be on a massive scale.

In other words, did you find the cure to your future ADP ambitions by filling
all those orders?

what an awesome video, I was shocked I missed it but then I saw the publish date.

Its neat to think about some of the sets I bought might be in that video....somewhere...lol
