I have 2 pieces : 44570 dark grey and light grey and on the back they say 2002
however the catalog only starts from 2003 . Help please . Very new to all of

The piece was probably first produced in 2002. It takes some time from the first
design of a new piece until it actually shows up in a set. So it's not unusual
for a piece to have a copyright year on it that is a year before it first appears
in a set.
