| Hi,
I was sorting through a lot of Lego and came across an assembled item (with a
sticker holding it together). I was happy to find it in the catalog: BA43pb02
However, it seems marked for deletion. And it doesn't seem to be included
in any set.
Could you give me more info about this item and the reason it is marked for deletion?
I would believe it was a custom item, until I found it in a lot myself... What
are the odds, right?

I've added an additional note to this item explaining why it was marked for
deletion:
[P=BA43pb02]
Feel free to submit a new catalog entry for a similar assembly which is held
together by more than just the sticker.

Thanks for the clarification.
So would this mean that an item (or rather: 2 parts) that is held together only
by a sticker, yet that is an exclusive element of a set (which would break the
set, if you would remove the sticker), can not be added in the catalog?
I find this strange: sometimes I am looking for the combination of parts that
are held together by exactly that sticker to complete a set, yet I won't
be able to find it in the Bricklink catalog. It feels strange.

No. It just means that the assembly must include enough parts to be solid and
not be held together merely by the sticker. Look at this example:
[P=BA47pb02]
The sticker is only on the tiles. The complete assembly includes the underlying
4 x 12 plates to make the whole thing solid. Any assembly, of course, must match
what the set instructions show for that assembly.
For the part under discussion, it looks like the complete assembly would need
to include three other parts to be approved as a catalog entry (see the instructions
for set 8667).

Aha, thanks again for the clarification.
I have checked the instructions of set 8667 and have come with a very solid complete
assembly with two parts. Adding more parts, would make the extra parts (technic
brick with holes 1 x 4) actually less solid since those bricks would move. Now
it's solid.
Would this then be accepted?
Please check out pics below.

Yes, you're right. For some reason I thought those were:
and I was adding in the red plate below.

If you look at the existing sticker over assembly parts, then you can see that
the parts for each assembly are all in the same colors (at least I believe they
are). I haven't thought about multicolored parts and how that would work.
I don't guess it wouldn't really matter all that much, but let me ponder
it for a bit. I'll get back with you.

Thank you. In the end, the only thing that matters to me, is I can add stickered
assemblies to my inventory and to the set they belong to. Currently, it can't
be done. Also for the part below (of set 8880) it's a similar situation.
Two slopes only held together with one sticker. I looked it up in the instructions,
and the piece below is a white (*sigh: not black*) wedge plate.
