Source: MISB-based set that were never mixed with other bricks. My set's string is 1 meter long.

Here in this video I found confirmation to your request:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vajYNEQ0k28
Sealed set content, opened in front of the camera. Parts visible and string is
still in the cardboard and on the cardboard is stated 1.0 M so it is one meter
long.

I'm thinking now is this 50 cm string correct for this set? Intuition tells
me that is too short for this crane, seeing in speed build video it construction.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnSbQr0G2t4
Arm of the crane extends and when extended and being in the highest point I think
it is needed longer string to hook be able to reach bottom.
I do not own this set so I do not know how big it is in reality.

One more think this set inventory was made from parts list. On parts list both
instruction and LEGO internet parts list we have this string with PCC:
4297719
when you type it here we have 3 strings with the same PCC:

Part No: x77ac50 Name: String, Cord Thin 50cm
*
x77ac50 String, Cord Thin 50cm
Parts: String & Net

Part No: x77ac100 Name: String, Cord Thin 100cm
*
x77ac100 String, Cord Thin 100cm
Parts: String & Net

Part No: x77ac420 Name: String, Cord Thin 420cm
*
x77ac420 String, Cord Thin 420cm
Parts: String & Net
so three of totaly different lenght quite diffrent like 50 cm and 420 cm

this probably confuse submiters.
Inventory was confirmed also from parts list.
So in my opinion 50cm string should be deleted from inventory and replaced by
100cm string which is confirmed from sealed copy of set from video and your request
also from selaed set.

BTW Lego description
https://brickset.com/parts/4297719/string-poly-0-5mm-on-spool
"String Poly 0,5Mm On Spool" - I think could confuse here also, because of "Mm"
and at first sight you see 0,5M but there is second m, so it is 0,5mm. Then it
not states lenght but thickness 0,5mm. And when you look at the list here https://brickset.com/sets/containing-part-4297719
there are set which we have inventoried with 50cm or 100cm or 420cm

Marek -

You came to the same conclusions that I did when I started researching this last
night. I had a strong feeling that the set always came with the 100cm string.
I agree that this request should be accepted. I will let you do the honors since
you took the time to write all of this out.

Cheers,
Randy

Thanks
Great we agree

So this request will be of course approved, string 50cm will be removed from
this inventory.
