We cannot see Yellow 4624c03 Wheel or 4073c01 Black Plate, nevertheless I submitted
them to be added. Should we get other photos showing these parts too?

I never found part 4073 in a set on a Sprue.

It appears you don't have any sealed sets of your own, but you are just copying
images from website (which actually is forbidden). Why delete part 4073 and add
these on a sprue?
My guess is that about 95% of all sets have these plates in it. Are you going
to add change requests for all sets.

I noticed there are some good changes concerning inventories, but this really
is going to far. I'm sure that I'm not the only one with this opinion?!

I do not have any particular opinion about this but the inventory admins have
decided that the parts should be presented in inventoreis AS they appears in
the sealed set. See

Sorry I am not sure what you mean by quoting this.

I don't know if the inventory admins accept to change 4073 to 4073c01 without
a photo or not. I and others have seen 4073 always in sprues. So I wrote this
to see what they do.

What will you do if we fail the test? Or what we will win if we pass it?

I only asked you to resubmit this inventory request to add this plates on sprue

Not really, I am not testing. But I really don't know how this case should
be treated. I thought you would come and give me some help.
I am buying this set from US, so at the same time I checked its inventory...
I didn't know if you only wanted me to add the sprues for 6591. (why only
for that set?)

I cancel this one then.
Sorry

Yes I'm here to help and I'm trying to help you. I hoped that you finish
6591 after I rejected these two extra plates. I could add these parts on sprues
for 6591 manually after they been rejected but I wanted to give you a chance
and I thought that you want to do it for this set.

Once again:
We will be accepting addition of this part
[p=4073c01]
to the regular section of inventories of all sets were this part really occur.
Just like all other parts on sprue https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?q=sprue
which finally found their place in inventories.
When it of course will be well documented and proofed that certain set came with
them on sprue originally in sealed set content.

Thanks for giving me this chance. It really does not matter that much who will
submit it. I am gonna submit it then.
I don't care much about sprues but I appreciate the effort to make the inventories
consistent.
The only problem with sprues (and flowers) is that when there are odd number
of them used in the set (like 1 or 3) then we would have even number of them
so one plate would be in inventory but it should technically be extra.

Submitting an inventory is time-consuming because the submitter has to open few
links, find the inventory ids,...
In the photo I submitted, I didn't see the black plate 4073. I don't
know if you assume they came with sprues? I and many others think they did. I
have the same question about assembled wheels. I beleie they also came assmbled
in 80s and early 90s but I don't know about after that.
This is why I also submitted the one for black 4073c01 and mentioned that they
were not visible in the photo so that you don't spend of your time trying
to find them in those photos but help me if you accept they always came assmbled
or not.
Sorry for the confusion.

Based on this, I guess you need to see evidence.

I don't care much about sprues but I appreciate the effort to make the inventories
consistent.

We care a lot about them, and we are trying our best to get the inventories in
sync with real-world original contents. This takes not only research on your
part, but research from the inventories team (myself, Marek and Russell) all
collaborating to form a consensus. If a consensus cannot be formed, the requests
will be rejected. It really is quite a simple process to understand.

The only problem with sprues (and flowers) is that when there are odd number
of them used in the set (like 1 or 3) then we would have even number of them
so one plate would be in inventory but it should technically be extra.

Not anymore. Some instances were handled like this in the past. Now, if a part
originally appeared on sprue in a set, then the entire sprue is considered a
regular part.

Submitting an inventory is time-consuming because the submitter has to open few
links, find the inventory ids,...

First of all, you are not submitting inventories. You are submitting inventory
change requests. These two tasks are very different from each other. One takes
a substantial amount of time from one person (the former), and one takes a substantial
amount of time from many people (the latter). So, yes, it is time-consuming for
us, also.

  In the photo I submitted, I didn't see the black plate 4073. I don't
know if you assume they came with sprues? I and many others think they did.

We try not to make any assumptions. We want proof, plain and simple. We do not
make decisions on what you think might have happened.

I have the same question about assembled wheels. I beleie they also came assmbled
in 80s and early 90s but I don't know about after that.

Once again, we will not make decisions based on your beliefs. We want proof.
We have accepted many of your requests because you as well as the entire inventories
team have been finding the required evidence to make well-founded decisions.
I do not see the team changing this in any way.

This is why I also submitted the one for black 4073c01 and mentioned that they were not visible in the photo so that you don't spend of your time trying to find them in those photos but help me if you accept they always came assmbled or not.

We are always doing our own research behind the scenes on *every* inventory change
request, so you can feel confident that we are helping you wherever and whenever
possible even if we don't explicitly come out and say that in the forums.
It is wonderful that you want to help out so much with these older sets, and
I for one appreciate the time you are putting into this. Not only am I learning
a lot about vintage LEGO sets, but your assistance *is* helping to make the inventories
better. However, you do need to realize that our reputations are on the line
for every one of these requests and we do not take them lightly. Therefore, some
things are going to be scrutinized much harder than others, and some things are
going to be rejected.

  Sorry for the confusion.

  Once again:
We will be accepting addition of this part
[p=4073c01]
to the regular section of inventories of all sets were this part really occur.
Just like all other parts on sprue https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?q=sprue
which finally found their place in inventories.
When it of course will be well documented and proofed that certain set came with
them on sprue originally in sealed set content.

Based on this, I guess you need to see evidence.

Yes, we will need to see evidence.

Cheers,
Randy

And assemblies are only to be changed to regular if they came assembled in a
set.
If not, they should be added (or kept) as a counterpart.

4073 always came by pair on a sprue in the 1980’s.

I have seen 4073 on a sprue in my young times with LEGO in the late 80s early
90s.

Set No: 6481 Name: Construction Crew
*
6481-1 (Inv) Construction Crew
166 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 1989
Sets: Town: Classic Town: Construction
comes to my mind in particular. You only have my word on this. But
I am 99.99% sure to have seen these on sprue. They definitly came like this in
a few sets at least.
