I'm working on trying to improve my automated shipping methods. I've
been using Flat Rate padded mailers for a long time, and now include medium and
large flat rate boxes to provide definite costs for larger packages.
The problem is, flat rate boxes often cost too much!
Priority mail (depending on zones + weight) can cost less than a flat rate mailer,
and Regional A and B boxes are usually the most cost efficient solutions for
That said, I can't figure out a way to automate cost calculation for these
shipping services in BrickLink. The only information needed is volume of the
order (to determine appropriate service), my ZIP code, and the ZIP code of the
recipient. All of this information is available within the BrickLink system,
but how to use that information at checkout?
For now my checkout offers the Manual option which will get the best price, but
sort of defeats the purpose of instant checkout.
Thanks for any help!
