 Subject: Lost package sent from Germany

I bought an item that was sent from Germany to Italy on may 9 (not from Bricklink).
The tracking says something like this:

- May 18: Due to an address error, the shipment could not be delivered. A new
delivery attempt will take place.
....
- May 21: The shipment will be transported to the destination country and, from
there, handed over to the delivery organization. (Homepage / online shipment
tracking: )


After since then, nothing has been updated. The seller/sender contacted DhL.
They replied:

Guten Tag, Frau Ondrusch,
vielen Dank für Ihre Nachricht.
Natürlich haben wir gerne für Sie recherchiert und festgestellt, dass sich Ihre
Sendung bereits
auf dem Rückweg zu Ihnen befindet. Allerdings kann dieser je nach Rücksendeart
aus dem
Ausland eine gewisse Zeit beanspruchen - hierauf haben wir leider keinen Einfluss.
Wir bitten
Sie deshalb um noch etwas Geduld.
Wenn Sie hierzu inzwischen Fragen haben, dann melden Sie sich einfach - wir sind
gerne
für Sie da. Damit wir Ihr Anliegen schneller bearbeiten können, nennen Sie uns
bitte die
Vorgangsnummer XXXXXXXXXXXXXXx.

What can I do know to find the parcel? Is there still hope that they find the
parcel? How can I make DhL to do more investigation?

P.S. the question is to find the parcel and not how I can get my money back (answer:
claim a non-delivery through PayPal)

Basically the reply from DHL is saying that the parcel is currently on the way
back to the seller. I further says that this might take a while and that DHL
cannot influence the time for the return.

So I don't think your parcel is lost - it is just returned to the seller.

I had used a goodle translation and understood what the letter said.
The problem is that the tracking is not updated for about 80 days. The package
is NOT returned to the sender (I asked him).

The annoying policy (cheap) with ´to return´ packages is, that DHL (and others)
simply collect them in some warehouse, until they have a full container to put
on the airplane.

If not much from Canada is send back to Germany, this ´collecting´ takes quite
a while. In other words: Return packages are not important, nobody cares that
much.
´patience´ is what you need, NOT funny...grr.
