Hi All-

Anyone know the logic in calling

Part No: 3713 Name: Technic Bush
*
3713 Technic Bush
Parts: Technic

a "Bush" rather than a "Bushing"?

Don't know that I have ever seen this type of isolator ever referred to as
a "Bush" anywhere outside of BL.

this part

Never thought about it, but now I sort of wish that this part had an axle hole
in the bottom so that it could also be a technic bush

Been using it wrong all this time!

I had always assumed the shortened form was American.

However, there is a large Danish toy manufacturer that refers to them as a bush.

Had noticed that but heck they call

Part No: 32002 Name: Technic, Pin 3/4
*
32002 Technic, Pin 3/4
Parts: Technic, Pin

"1 1/2 M CONNECTING BUSH"

and

Part No: 43093 Name: Technic, Axle 1L with Pin with Friction Ridges
*
43093 Technic, Axle 1L with Pin with Friction Ridges
Parts: Technic, Axle

"CONN.BUSH W.FRIC./CROSSALE"

What on earth is a "crossale"

Given that we use terms here on BL like "Bracket" and not "Angle Plate", it just
seemed strange to be betrothed to the TLG usage.

I've seen both, but then I have always thought a bushing was a plain bearing,
which this part isn't. (Although it sort of can be.)
