Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 366 Name: Basic Set
*
366-1 (Inv) Basic Set
166 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 1981
Sets: Universal Building Set: Basic Set

* Delete 1 Part 4202 Yellow Brick 4 x 12

Comments from Submitter:
I owned this Basic set when I was a child and I don't remember this part was included.
I recently bought it again in MISB condition and I really can't see this part into the box. The pictures on the box don't show it too.
If you need I will upload explaining pictures.

By all means, please do. I have looked at several sets and don't see the
part, either.

Nevertheless, it's difficult to tell and I'm undecided on this one.
The Peeron inventory was done from an opened set and includes the part.

No, that should be plenty.

Thank you. I'll look them over and see what I can determine.

You can clearly recognize the two bricks 4 x 12 (one red and one blue), but apparently
there is no yellow brick 4 x 12.

The yellow brick is not in this set.
I did a look on my MIB box.

Thanks, Stefaan. I don't see it in the pictures and two people with new
sets in hand say it ain't there. Guess I'd be a fool to delay any longer.

The request has been approved.

Just for the heck of it, I also adjusted the inventory to reflect how the parts
are assembled in the unopened set. Take a look.

Great!

Did a new look and found that all bricks are WITHOUT inside supports EXCEPT the
blue bricks 2x4.

Set is from 1981, inside there is a 'parents' catalog from 1981

Catalog No: c81eupg2 Name: 1981 For Parents / Pour les parents / Para los padres (Parents Guide) (109785/109885-OS)
*
c81eupg2 1981 For Parents / Pour les parents / Para los padres (Parents Guide) (109785/109885-OS)
Catalogs: 1981
and a 'catalog' from 1982

Catalog No: c82os  Name: 1982 Medium Overseas (115585/115685-OS (eng./fr./sp.))
*
c82os 1982 Medium Overseas (115585/115685-OS (eng./fr./sp.))
Catalogs: 1982

Best way a change with alternate parts?

No, I'd say let's change them outright instead of adding alternates.
The original inventory does not have a source and you have a MIB set in hand.
Please submit requests to align the set inventory with what you have there.

  Set is from 1981, inside there is a 'parents' catalog from 1981

Catalog No: c81eupg2 Name: 1981 For Parents / Pour les parents / Para los padres (Parents Guide) (109785/109885-OS)

and a 'catalog' from 1982

Catalog No: c82os  Name: 1982 Medium Overseas (115585/115685-OS (eng./fr./sp.))
*
c82os 1982 Medium Overseas (115585/115685-OS (eng./fr./sp.))
Catalogs: 1982

I can think of no good reason why it is not possible to add these to sets. I
will ask the powers that be and see if this policy can be changed - it seems
like it should be an easy change.

Well, I have the blue with, but it looks like (on the pictures) member lego.12vtrains
has the blue without.

Fair enough. Figure out what you can and submit the requests as you see fit,
please.

I confirm, the blue bricks 2 x 4 included in my set are WITHOUT inside supports.
Take a look at the picture.

In my set there is only the following "parents" catalog from 1981 (I was able
to read the code 109782/109882 EU II (D/A/CH/F/I) through the transparent plastic
cover):

Catalog No: c81eupg Name: 1981 Für Eltern / Pour les parents / Per i genitori (Parents Guide) (109782/109882 EU II (D/A/CH/F/I))
*
c81eupg 1981 Für Eltern / Pour les parents / Per i genitori (Parents Guide) (109782/109882 EU II (D/A/CH/F/I))
Catalogs: 1981

No catalogue from 1982. I think that my set comes from the very first edition
of the year 1981, while Stefaan's one is from the next year 1982.

During the early 80's there was the transition period from old type to modern
type bricks, so it is possible to find both types mixed together.
