Daily new sellers complain about the lack of communication of BrickLink customer
service.
In the forum they read it's normal the Verification process takes about 6
weeks.

Many discover they CAN be accessed via the bypass password.
They're not open regularly because Bricklink didn't apply all settings
correctly in the Verification process.

This long and incompleted process is hurting Bricklinks reputation and business,
because the items in these stores don't come up in searches.
We want scammers stopped not a discouraging process for normal people.

complaints in the forum from new members about this, it will drive many of them
to sell (and buy) on other sites.

I would add that many other urgent help desk requests are taking too long, it
recently took 2 weeks to get an account merged that we requested whereas it used
to take a day or two. Appreciate that the issue is not the individual(s) responsible
but there is a lack of resources allocated to help desk; this is going to hurt
the site and needs to be addressed...sorry to link this but if BL can afford
to allocate someone to building a catalog for Brickarms then perhaps they should
take a step back and look at the core business 1st.

putting as much effort as possible to go through the hundreds of verification

It's all I see on the forums now lol

I respect he or she that deals with the help desk may be overrun however I
think Bricklink needs to urgently expand their help desk. It's hurting their
site. It's like putting a plaster on a gunshot wound (sums up this site at
the moment I think)

I contacted nearly 2 weeks ago now about some inventory issues that were urgent
and I've still not heard back. From a business perspective this is not acceptable
and the fact Bricklink is my job I find it rather scary.

There's bugs that are apparent still to this day yet they're not ironed
out. Work around's are not good enough. Things should work.

Expand the help desk please

I tend to agree too...

I've been on bricklink for a while but I'm new to the forums.

Just asking, as a community, what is our power over this situation ?
I always thought that this website was community driven and pretty much auto-regulated.
Isn't it ?
If the community decide that it needs more users with "super powers" to help
(at least temporarily) current admin(s), why would it be problem..?

Maybe I sound completely stupid to someone deeply involved and that knows all
BL mecanics, but currently I'm not too much impressed about BL delays and
lack of communication and I'm looking for answers.

This topic was very helpful, seeing that other people are going through the same
issues. I'm still waiting for the Bricklink admins to approve my New Seller
Verification. I have the 5 positive feedbacks and have been a user for over 100
days but for some reason I haven't been approved to open my Bricklink store.
I've sent the request via email to get approved, but I have not heard back
and it's been a week already. I'll probably give it one more week, and
if I'm not approved I'll look into other Brick/Lego websites. Thanks.

chadrobb, you don't seem to have any payment methods. I believe new sellers
might have to offer PayPal (onsite), but I can't find where this is documented.
In any case, you need to offer some payment methods. And as per the opening
post, it appears to take maybe 6 weeks from the time you submit your email for
approval.

I just gulped when I realised it's been 6 months and 4 days since I first
started trying to be approved. Why have I got to be the one chasing up admins
in the effort to start selling my Lego? This whole process couldn't be any
less user-friendly.
I have a question if any admin sees this:
Why lie? In the new seller verification terms it clearly states that there are
two options you can take if you want to become a seller- submit documents via
email or wait 100 days and get at least 5 feedback. This clearly isn't
the case and hasn't been since June 9th 2017. Because of this poorly worded
help page throwing everyone off, good old Mr Brickwilbo took it upon himself
to reply to every single confused forum post and clear things up. He wouldn't
have to go to this length if the help page was accurate. It's just little
things like help pages being outdated that turns people away from BrickLink.
If you've got time to add knockoff brands to BrickLink you've got time
to rewrite a paragraph :/

Admin any service pledge of Seller Verification process? I submitted my request
on 21 Oct 2021 but no reply at all. I have been BrickLink member since 2013,
recently relocating from Hong Kong to Canada, so I followed the instruction to
go through the process to submit a new seller verification. But the experience
is painful, no reply at all.

Any change I could you have feature to update country rather than start another
seller verification? Or you could speed up the new seller verification process?
