I just opened this set and I have 6 of these in total. The instructions say I should have 4. (2 for each dalek). I am assuming these are extras or possibly a mistake in my set as I have never seen 2x2 plates used as extras before.

For what it's worth, I just parted out this set, and I only had 4 total of
the dark tan 3022 plate. 2 goes to each Dalek minifig. I did not have 2 leftover.
I feel like those of you that got 6 in the set were the beneficiaries of a mistake.
