My question is does any of you know of any good LEGO wholesale distributors in
EU (Austria, Hungary, Germany, Czech Republic or close by)? Our initial order
would be in a €40-50k range and yearly approx. €300k.

LEGO. And that is about it. They are in strong control of their wholesale distribution.

Thanks for your answer. We have been talking to LEGO very much and since they
cannot ship to us directly at this moment (due to the contract they have with
distributor in our region) we have been instructed by them to find a different
distributor. They could not share the list of possible distributor partners as
it is against their policies to do so.

So my question is very simple - does anyone know the name of the official LEGO
distributor in any of these countries (Austria, Germany, Hungary, Czech Rep or
closeby)?

Thanks!

  Hi all,

I am one of the owners of a LEGO monobrand store/website in one of the European
countries (location not disclosed for business protection). Our relationship
with the current exclusive distributor for our country has gone sideways and
we need to find a new one. TLG isn't really helpful and they are not interested
in doing business directly with anyone on our market as it is "undeveloped".

My question is does any of you know of any good LEGO wholesale distributors in
EU (Austria, Hungary, Germany, Czech Republic or close by)? Our initial order

I know it's super weird to post this question here, but investigating options
as we need this problem fixed asap.

Thanks much all.

Cheers!

In the Netherlands the two major LEGO importers are:
Van der Meulen: http://www.vandermeulen.com and
Otto Simon: http://www.ottosimon.nl

I hope this helps.

Hmm, I gave this a second thought.
If you buy from another importers outside of your country, you are doing parallel
import, which is probably not allowed. These importers probably might not want
your business for this reason.
Perhaps someone else with some thoughts about this?

Parallel import is considered to be a non-counterfeit product imported from
another country WITHOUT the permission of the intellectual property owner. In
this case - LEGO is okay with it - they are the ones who have suggested this.

Yes, for the European Union it probably is no problem because all the legal stuff
for approval on the EU market (CE-marking for instance) is all done by LEGO them
selves, not by a particular importer.

Thanks all for replies. Does anyone else have any other information? Austria?
Czech Rep, maybe?

Thanks!
