Hi all, I just wanted to get peoples opinions:

A while back I had a very high feedback buyer make an order which included some
balloon tires. These tires were over 2.5cm thick which means I cannot ship them
at large letter rate, which unfortunately means they cost a minimum of £3.30
to ship, where as letter rate goes from 96p.

I can accept that maybe you don't know how wide the tires are and that £3.30
shipping on a £9 domestic order is higher than average, but the buyer responded
with:

"Sorry but the shipping cost and extra charges are just to high,I always buy
the tyres and they will fit in large letter."

They do not fit in large letter, and shipping an oversized package is always
at my risk and not the buyers so I am not going to do it.

At this point the buyer stopped responding to me and I had no further correspondence
from them during the whole NPB process.

I wasn't happy to leave a 0% negative member their first negative but I thought
that trying to fudge the mail and then ignoring me was worthy of one.

Today I look down my orders list to see they have somehow managed to get my feedback
removed. This doesn't fit with any of the criteria on the removal list here:

The NPB was completed. Why was my feedback removed?

Am I being unreasonable here?

Doubtful since he mentioned very high feedback buyer. I'm curious how high
the feedback was ?

You would have ask Admin_Jaclyn to give you that answer. The Buyer would have
had to have requested an Admin to remove it. Or you could have removed your
own feedback by mistake.

High shipping costs are not a reason to have feedback removed. Query this direct
with BL and ask for your right to leave appropriate feedback. If they refuse
then name and shame on the forum.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have contacted admin asking what's going on.
Will see how long that response takes.

The buyer in question has over 1800 feedback, so will definitely know UK shipping
rules, and evidently how to game the BL rules as well!
