Hey there,

I am wondering if there is a possibility to implement the sanctioning of sellers
who intentionally keep listing items incorrectly. For instance custom items/replicas/not
original lego items/photocopies of instructions among the actual items.
There are a number of sellers who do not act properly. If their problem items
are reported and hence removed by admins, you can be sure that they will list
the same items again on the same day or maximum of the next one.
For example: Lot ID: 100799712

These sellers are not playing fairly and at the same time the price guide history
will not reflect the true value of the concerned items.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,
balgi

My favorite are the sellers who list minifigure parts under the complete minifigure
listing because the part has not been added to the catalog. This happens especially
with new minifigures that haven't had the minifigure parts added to the catalog
yet. The sellers often even take the time to find a picture of the part, but
instead of adding it to the catalog and then selling it correctly, they jsut
list it under the minifigure for 1/3 of the minifigure cost and throw off the
price guide.

At one point I spent some time going through a couple of stores and entering
the lots as problems in the Problem with Items for Sale section to report
them to BrickLink, but clearly BrickLink has no problem with these sellers because
most of these listings are still up, and the rest seem to have jsut sold out.

The Price Guide is easily manipulated, whether intentionally or accidentally.
Probably an easier solution would be to allow/disallow any given listing to participate
in the price guide. If the seller selects to Allow, and then submits a listing
that is manipulative, it's pretty obvious they did so intentionally.

As it is now, the seller has no control other than what catalog entry a listing
is connected to, and then the Price Guide is automatic.
