| Please make changes to the following inventory:
* Delete 2 Part 3004 White Brick 1 x 2
* Delete 2 Part 3023 White Plate 1 x 2

Own this set from new and have just used the inventory to group parts to build it from my original instructions. The parts (2of 3004 and 2of 3023) are not used on my instructions.

They're used on the horses without the saddles.

They are for the horses, unsaddled.
(So you should also have the same in black, unused.)

| Seems you guys have keener eyes than me then!
I also have one other query.
The inventory says I should have 2x white and 2x black horses - I have owned
this set from new, which admittedly its been took apart for may years but I seem
to have 3x white horses and 1x black - I dont have any other instructions for
anything else with horses on it (and my parents were very careful in boxing up
my instructions when i was a kid) so is it possible lego mixed up a white for
a black?

Or you may have trade some horse with friend as kid...things like these
can happend without staying in memory. Or do you have other spare part you don't
kow where they're coming from ? because for instance the [6011-1] is quite
small, as wel as the instruction, which could be considered as a leaflet by adult.
(not saying that LEGO can't make mistake, just memory can be more tricky
30 years later)

Yes, Lego has been known to substitute parts from time to time. The question
of whether or not this type of thing should always be reflected in the inventory
is another matter. You see that the inventory still *functions* well for you
since you were able to draw the conclusion that one of the horses was replaced
by one of another color.
Personally I wouldn't submit alternate info for an inventory unless I was
certain it was a relatively common occurrence.
