If we are going to change this, I think we also need to change the whole group
of Earth Orange Fabuland parts (7 of them, from 1982-1987):
For sure Lego did not buy plastic pelets in Fabuland Orange for the sake of only
one part.
Does anybody oppose / confirm this color shift? Does somebody have a majority
of these parts to confirm they are indeed the same color? It would also be nice
to have actual pictures of the barrel and saddlebags. The Ldraw images we have
now look a little too dark.

I have in Earth Orange. That color was also used for the Fabuland
Monkey figure head .
We might have to check all these parts.

I have in Earth Orange. That color was also used for the Fabuland

Regarding the fence:
In set images, it looks exactly like the broom.
This handtruck:
looks different than Fabuland Brown in the BL image.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few of those are Fabuland Orange, but I wouldn't
jump to conclusions yet. The saddlebags and broom (at least the broom in the
Harry Potter set) are definitely Earth Orange. I can add a new photo.
Fabuland Orange was also used for the Fabuland lion's head, I think. Also
a Duplo pilot's hat. But there are a few colors that we know for a fact were
only ever used for one part...

separate parts (perhaps even back in 1979 with the heads) and then at some point
during the time these special orange parts were in production (through at least

One would need to compare actual color, having both items in hand, as based on
an image (made by 2 different people and therefore 2 different pictures quality
and colorbalance) comparison is IMHO impossible...
