Variant confirmed from set in my personal collection that was bought in March 2014, very soon after the set was released. I also checked my store inventory and found only this variant. This new variant was not yet in the catalog at that time, but I believe that the old variant was never present in this set. It can always be added again as an alternate if someone confirms that it was in their set.
