I see on this page:

http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=3001&idColor=7#T=S&C=7&O={"color":7,"cond":"N","ii":1}

that buyers can exclude from searches any and all stores that have any Minimum
Purchase amount.

I would like to suggest that this be tweaked so that buyers can input a dollar
value to exclude only stores that have a Minimum Purchase requirement greater
than the amount they input. As it stands now, ALL stores with ANY Minimum Purchase
amount (even if only $1) are excluded if the box is checked on this page.

Next, I would like to ask how many buyers actually check this box to exclude
any and all Minimum Purchase stores from their searches.

If many buyers exclude stores with any minimum purchase amount, sellers should
know this so they can possibly change. But I also think buyers should know that
if this is what they want, sellers are just going to require other things to
make orders worthwhile for them. These other things could be increased fees or
higher minimum shipping amounts. If sellers cannot price these costs into a minimum
amount of goods, they will charge them elsewhere.

I don't check that box, since most stores have reasonable minimums.

I have added a few stores to my least favorite list due to having really high
minimums, to avoid seeing them in my search results.

Those other things you mention could also become part of the data model, and
usable in searches. But we have had this discussion already, and I got the idea
that you were not in favor of this.

BTW, the ability to exclude super lots from buyer searches is one big reason
why I stopped using them years ago as a seller. Listing super lots was more difficult
and confusing to begin with, and then there were all the sellers who would list
everything except one thing extremely cheap, with that one lot priced extremely
high. This gaming is probably what turned buyers off to super lots as a whole
and to the extent that BrickLink implemented a feature allowing them to exclude
all super lots from their searches.

Is this what will happen to Minimum Purchase amounts too?

I agree, I have never used the option, I manually check the minimum before clicking
on the store link. very high and I won't bother clicking and go to the next.
currently it's only really usefull for people that intend to buy 1 or just
a few cheap parts and that imo isn't worth the shipping costs.

When I do a Store Query from a Wanted List, all of the returns list the store
minimum in the far right column. That space is blank if they have none. It
works for me, and it's more effective than a checkbox. If I have hundreds
of parts in, say, fifty lots of parts to order, a $30 minimum won't scare
me off if the store can fill half of my list. If a store only yields one or
two lots from that list, even a $5 minimum might not be worth the hassle, depending
on whether I can get those parts elsewhere, if I can find other parts I actually
want to pad out my order, and if the store primarily deals in New parts (I hate
wading through pages upon pages of parts when every time I get interested in
something, it's always listed as Used).
