| Please make changes to the following inventory:
* Add 16 Part 2817 Light Bluish Gray Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Pin Holes (Alternate) (match ID 7)
* Change 18 Part Light Bluish Gray 2817 Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Pin Holes {match ID 0 to 7}
Comments from Submitter:
The older BI from Worldbicks appears to be 4493104/4493105 and the inventory at the back of book 2 shows 16 parts.
The newer BI from lego.com is 4522643/4522644 and book 2 shows 18 parts in the inventory.
BI Book 1 page 40 shows 14 used in one edition and 16 in the other.

The print numbers for the early version are actually 4498104/4498105. I have
also included images from page 40 to show the extra pair of assemblies used in
the later version.

I wonder if this is, after all, correct.
I refer you to book 2 page 30 step 15/4 and page 36 Step 24/4.
In these two steps 2 of the are replaced by the two already
referenced as 'Match 7'
Thus whilst 2 extra are required on page 40, 2 less are required on pages 30/36.
I have to admit I find this 'confusing' - I wonder if it wouldn't
be better to have 6211-1 and 6211-2 instead of 'Match 7'

It would be better, but unless the difference can be seen on the outside of the
box, it's difficult to get a second entry. Normally with just a few affected
lots like this, we just use the alternates. It is confusing, and many/most do
not understand it at all.
I approved the change to the inventory based upon my reading of the parts list
from the scan at Brickfactory. I have just found that the original pdf of the
early version can be found at Lego.com as well, and with the improved resolution
it is clear that the quantity for that part in both versions is "18". Tricky
stuff.

Yes - re 6211-2 - I undestand, it is clearly visible by the arrangement of the
3 x 6 Dark Gray wedge plates arannged on the hull, which is different vetween
the 2 builds.
Visible on the box though - I dont have a box so cannot comment - does anyone
have boxes they can compare?
As for this change - well if both the parts lists on both versions of the BI
have 18, and on the basis of the evidence in my last email, perhaps this change
needs to b undone...
