| Just another vote to bring the Chat function back to this site. I really miss
being able to converse with my fellow BrickLinkians in real-time...

Will probably newer happen (at least not in the near future).
So for now you are welcomed in to the unofficial IRC chat channel.

We aren't many in there right now, but it could be use for the same things
that the old chat was.

Yeah I'm usually there too, though I tend to be away, what with 10 hours
a day work.

Oh irc is bit different, it's usually slower so you probably should stay
on (probably change nick to (your nick)_away. You can then read backlog and sometimes
can chat when on same time. No 10 min boot is both positive and negative.

The chat room function here before was great for the site, It was a place were
many sales were made and many underage sellers found out, I made my first sale
and also placed my first order because of the chat room, Bringing chat back is
a major part of site, (in my own views of course)

Yeah, I remember the chat well. To think, It was a good 2 or 3 years ago it was
taken away.

| I believe it went away because it was related to the several hacks into the site.
Vulnerabilities of the chat function programming.
If they could do it without reintroducing the security vulnerabilities it would
be great to have it back.

just thorwing this out here for those of us that remember IRC and want to maybe
be more social then forums can be at times. There is a channel on Espernet for
bricklink not many people their but it could be fun
