According to instructions the white truck is build using a trans-dark blue windscreen and the black truck is build using a trans-light blue windscreen.

This has proven to be a very interesting request. Images of the set definitely
show a difference in the hue of the two windshields, but if the request goes
through, this set would become the earliest occurrence of that part in Trans
Dark Blue. There is this set from 1998:
 
Set No: 4274 Name: FreeStyle Playdesk

...but the inventory was done from a parts list and the BL instructions image
shows trans light blue. And then there is this set from 1999:

...but the date on that should very likely be 2000 (at least) because it includes
set 6477 from 2000:

* 		6477-1 (Inv) Fire Fighter's Lift Truck
100 Parts, 3 Minifigures, 2000
Sets: Town: Town Jr.: Fire
...which otherwise *would* be the first occurrence of a Trans Dark Blue windshield.

Does anyone have this set unmixed and could shed more light on this?
