| I would like to see an addition to the “My Action Items” notification area on
the “MyBrickLink” under the selling category. When the seller marks an order
“Paid” we see the following on our MyBrickLink page …
My Action Items:
(Customize)
Selling:
1 Order not yet shipped (?)
However, when a buyer pays for an order and goes into their My Orders Placed
page and marks the order as “Paid” – we (the seller) have no idea the buyer paid
by looking at our MyBrickLink. We have to go to the My Orders Received page
and see if the grand total is “bold” or go to our emails and see if we received
payment (if electronically).
Wouldn’t it be easy if we could log into BrickLink and go to our “MyBrickLink”
page and see this right away …
My Action Items:

Selling:

I believe it would be a nice addition to the site and be an easy way for sellers
to see if their buyer has paid for their order. This may have already been suggested,
but I thought it couldn't hurt to get it out there.

I don't see the point.
- not all buyers change payment status, so you have to check your bank-/PayPal
account daily anyway
- if Payment Status is Sent, it doesn't mean you received payment, banktransfers
and IBAN payment take longer
If you see Order not yet shipped, that's another thing. The seller has changed
payments status in Completed, so it's for sure the order must be shipped.

Hi Mike,
The majority of my buyers do not mark the order as paid when they send payment.
So while I think this would be a great feature just to let you know someone has
paid, I would worry that initially new sellers might rely on it thinking that
it is "how things are done", and miss their other payments.
So with this, I would love to see it displayed automatically on a buyers Action
Items
--XX Orders Invoiced Not Yet Paid
Right now I believe it is in buyers settings to select this, and even then it
only shows up if the seller marks the order as ready. If this showed on their
Activity page no matter what, that would help this system be more effective.
--But there will always be buyers who pay, and don't go back to BL and
mark it as paid.
As a seller my fear is always that one order that will slip through as paid and
I won't notice it for a few days.
