Please provide the ability to HIDE specific forum threads. By this, I mean that
if I HIDE a specific thread, I will no longer see ANY posts in the thread or
ANY future replies to any of the posts in the thread.

Some threads can go off the rails, and they crowd out the other more relevant
posts. Once a thread has gone off the rails, I have no desire to read or see
it anymore. The participants are free to keep at it, but I would prefer not
to have to watch.

I made similar suggestion a long while ago too. In fact, mine is more flexible,
it's hide ANY branch of discussion. It will hide any replies to that post
and below.

If you set your forum setting to "without replies" those threads drop down the
list and you see only the new stuff. It works for me. Donna

Good suggestion. I made the same one in 2010:

Of course I vote yes.

You and others probably did. It is one of those oldies but goldies that never
dies. I still don't know why it was never implemented. It would seem so easy
to code.

yeah probably will never happen, considering MOC shop's really bad forum.
Since MOC has new bricklink 2.0 structure, we will get that crappy forum in place
of one of rare thread type forum.

I didn't realize that the MOC shop had its' own forums.

OMG is that HORRIBLE!

NOT threaded, and it seems to put the most recent comment ON TOP! So you have
to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and read up to properly follow
a conversation.

And clicking on a thread opens it in a new window?

What were they thinking?

I am truly frightened about what this means for the future of the site, if this
is the basis of "BrickLink 3.0" and this is the best that they can come up with.

Indeed! I would be forced to move on if it has that really bad forum. And the
overuse of light gray on lighter gray or white!

"It would seem so easy" but probably isn't

There is a technical reason that Cancelled posts still show up instead of just
disappearing, something to do with the post numbering that I do not remember
all of the details about.

(Cancelled posts also do not get deleted, they just get hidden from view)

So it is probably much more difficult then we non-programmers imagine.
