| It has been brought up too many times, the need for a new feedback format that
will eliminate a lot of seller scams that occur on BL. The new format should
appear as the example (the example does not match actual feedback or any registered
member):
Seller - 100 (90.0%)
This would show that Seller has 100 feedback, and 90% of it is positive. The
other 10%, or 10 feedback, would be neutrals or negatives, and it would be an
overall percentage based off of both buying and selling.
I'm open to Constructive criticism or other ideas, but I think this would
greatly improve the overall performance and quality of the site.

There is already the wrong perception that a neutral is a 'light negative'
and this would reinforce that.
I can agree, even support, the format you suggest if it is a count/ratio of positives
to negatives - the neutrals should remain as neutral - not effecting the 'score'
as it does now.

Yes, no neutrals count in the overall score, and it is positive to negatives.

| This solution does not prevent tricks like BRicksters (see other posts for details)
has pulled of succesfully over a long period of time.
Apparently the rule is:
if you can't read the feedback right, we can't be bothered when are being
scammed, it's your own fault.
We as sellers and buyers do our best to help new members getting familiar here
at BL and at the same time, they are easy prey for scavengers.
The feedback system is fine, reading is required, decisions are made by individuals
to buy stuff. But the system that provides these bad sellers needs to be addressed
and changed. NOT the feedback system (at least: not for this reason...).

| I like the suggestion I read in the previous related thread about only including
a store's feedback *as a seller* in that total calculation. The member can
still have their overall feedback (somewhere) but at the top, center of the store's
page maybe this percentage feedback is explicitly for this store's sales
only.
This makes it harder to pad your feedback with a bunch of small buys (but of
course it's no problem if you're doing that to build a general air of
trustworthiness around your name as some sellers refuse to sell to zero-feedback
members).

Makes much sense to have the feedback displayed while in a store to only reflect
the sellers feedback from selling.
This should be implemented with the present system.

| I vote no. BL's feedback system works fine. People just have to know how
to use it. It ain't broke, so it don't need fixin'!
Instead of this, I would like to see a big red banner across the checkout page
of any store with less than 95% positive feedback as a seller saying "WARNING!
BUYERS BEWARE! READ THIS SELLER'S FEEDBACK BEFORE PROCEEDING FURTHER!"

I would argue that it should be a percentage of positive/(positive+negative)
over the past year (maybe with a minimum of 100 transactions, so that if there
were less over the past year, it'd use the last 100). 100 being arbitrary,
but I'm sure a good number could be determined.

I am ok with this.
It would save me a few clicks, that I use to find this information.
Really the number of feedback matters much less to me than the number and reason
for negatives and neutrals.
One might have a 99% positive, but multiple recent negatives or neutrals indicating
a current issues.
Although it is against the rules to sell one's account, I know that in multiple
cases accounts have changed ownership, where a new owner has inherited an account
that already had a track record.
I learned of both of these through what the new owners of these accounts had
posted in the forum.
I think that starting feedback over when an account changes ownership should
be an absolute requirement.
