| I will be doing a lot of shopping on BrickLink over the next few days. It would
be very helpful if there were a Notes to Self page on BrickLink where I could
post reminders to myself, reminders to check back later on items I see while
shopping (but don't order yet), reminders to visit stores with sales or other
good deals I don't have time for right now, reminders to follow up with messages
I sent or received, notes tagging and comparing listings I may be interested
in, etc. I am sure many other buyers would find this useful as well - their own
personal reminder clip pad right on BrickLink. Thanks for considering.

I see this as an expansion to "My Action Items".

I see this as an expansion to "My Action Items".

That is a good place for it. Maybe call it My Clipboard. I just left seven stores
with partial shopping carts because I have to take my kids somewhere in 10 more
minutes. Tonight when I come home those carts will probably be gone and I won't
remember all the stores I was shopping in. I don't need to save the carts.
But, among other things, I would like to at least leave myself a Note here on
BrickLink listing the stores (with links) I should go back to and some of the
things I was looking at there. For now, I will just write a quick note by hand
and throw on top of everything else on my desk.

| Would this be one page, or a small section to the side you see no matter what
page you are on?

I like Brian's idea of putting a link to this clipboard in My Action Items.
And it should be a separate page each member can just write whatever reminder
or notes they want to themselves. Cyas!

These are good suggestions.
Working within the existing system, I currently use the "Favorite Stores" feature
for something like this. If I'm in a store and there's stuff that I want
but don't plan on buying immediately, I will add them to my favorite stores
and include the item numbers in the notes.
Then, when I'm shopping again later and see that the store is marked as a
favorite, I will click on that to see if there are specific items noted there
that I wanted to buy.
It's not ideal, because unless that's ALL I use the Favorite Store system
for, there isn't an easy way to review all the stores that I set up these
notes for.

Excellent suggestion, and like Brian suggested somewhere in the My Actions Items
area where it would reside. Many times I could have used this during my shopping.
Expanding on this idea, it would be nice to drop one's shopping cart in there
to follow up later, perhaps from a different device (home vs work, computer vs
iPad, etc). Also for allowing to attach a note to the shopping cart with a reminder
to oneself about what one was particularly wanting in that store. As an extra
bonus, if the shopping cart being saved here would also retain the items and
quantities added at the point of saving the cart so as to remind oneself what
one wanted to order, and if they shall be purchased by someone else, then it
would serve as a reminder that one might need to look elsewhere if those items
were critical. I know a wanted list might serve this purpose, but I don't
want a huge list of wanted lists, especially for items that may be more of an
impulse add on items to my purchase.

| I just wanted to let you know that I've added this suggestion to our list
for further review. As I've spent many hours going through stores here on
BL for parts, I can certainly see the benefit of a notes option like this. Thanks
for the suggestion and all of the replies with additional thoughts.
