Currently, BL messages sent to Admin are NOT copied to the sender's email
or BL message inbox like they are for messages sent to every other BL member.
Many messages sent to Admin are rather important or may need some follow-up.
So I don't understand why the sender does not receive a copy for his records
and reference purposes.

Please copy all messages to Admin both to the sender's email and BL message
inbox. Or at least put a checkbox asking the sender if they want a copy. The
same checkbox that is on every other BL message draft to every other BL member.

Also, why are BL messages to Admin not previewable? You draft a message and it
is sent right away with no chance to preview it for errors. Please make messages
to Admin previewable just like messages are for every other BL member.

Did you send a message and try out the new help desk system?

http://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=781684

Get an auto response and a ticket?

I have not had a need/desire to send a message but have been wondering how the
improvements have been going with this.

I like your ideas, it would make sense to me the auto responder would kick back
your message attached if nothing else.

No, I did not. I went to this page:

http://www.bricklink.com/contact.asp?viewFrom=I

and typed "Admin" into the left box. This brought me to this page:

http://www.bricklink.com/helpDesk.asp?viewType=

where I clicked on the "Ask a Question or Other Inquiry" link on the bottom right.
Which brought me to this page:

http://www.bricklink.com/helpDesk.asp?helpDeskID=-1

You will note there is no button to preview your message before sending and no
checkbox here asking if the sender wants a copy. Both of those should be added
IMO.

I have tested a similar system. Send an e-mail to bugs @ Bricklink . com and
received the autoresponse with a ticket number. A few days later it was forwarded
to the development team and I received e-mails about the issue and the way they
are dealing with it.

I assume the CustomerService e-mail uses the same system.
