When looking for a specific part via Price Guide, I would like to have the possibility
to have the shops, where I already have open orders, highlighted. An extra small
pictogram next to the price or something.

Maybe a similar feature when working with wanted lists too, although it is not
that necessary as you can already see the store names in the list.

If you have just a few orders open it might not take you a lot of time to check
all the shops, but when it gets into two digits it becomes a little daunting
task to do it over and over again.

Would you want ready, packed, received and shipped orders highlighted as well?

That's your response to a legitimate question about your vague suggestion.
There's no point in highlighting stores with open orders to which you can't
add anymore.

That's my answer to a question that does not make any sense. I might have
missed the sense, so I asked what was your point..

My question to you - since when you can not add to open orders?

I am constantly getting more parts that are needed, and I typically have many
open orders. I would like an easy and fast way to see which shops (with open
orders) are stocking the parts, without spending a lot of time by checking the
stores manually one by one.

My question does make sense.
It's only possible to add to orders in pending, processing or ready status.
Not to orders in packed, received and shipped status: http://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=41
So why highlighting the open orders in all orderstatusses, even those orders
where it's not possible to add anything?

I believe that enig's suggestion was to orders you actually can add more
items (Pending, Processing, Ready) and that's what he may have meant by "open".
At least that's how I read it.

This idea had cross my mind many times before and I see it as a good suggestion,
but only for "open" orders maybe. I would like to extend for Paid orders as well
-- one can always try Maybe customized options would be more suitable
instead of one size fits all.

I personally don't mind a buyer adding for orders which are Paid or Packed,
I just changed one Paid back to Ready so the buyer could add. And it would not
be the first time I would unpack an order to save some shipping on a buyer.

I vote YES.

Best regards,
Paulo-Renato

Yes that's exactly what I meant, thanks Paulo. My mistake, I thought it is
common BL knowledge what "Open order" means. Sorry for my arrogant reply earlier
Brickwilbo.

Well sure, having the option to enable the order indicators of your choice is
better than one size fits all.

I personally don't mind a buyer adding for orders which are Paid or Packed,
I just changed one Paid back to Ready so the buyer could add. And it would not

I dont mind that too (most of the time.. ), but my buyers rarely get the luxury
of having enough time to even think of it, in between the payment and when the
order is shipped

I vote YES.

Paulo-Renato

BTW I guess you already know it, but you can see the country flags next to a
store in the PG which help a tiny bit for this purpose. But a bold price or
something like you describe, would be much better.

All the best,
Paulo-Renato

Thanks, yes I know you can enable the country flags Not an enormous help for
this purpose, but yes it's a useful feature sometimes
