| I know the site was hacked a few months ago and maybe that has something to do
with its removal, but I sure do miss the immediacy and intimacy of live chatting.

I doubt we'll see chat again before BrickLink 2.0 comes along, and as someone

There is the chatroom that we used for a while last year:

It has been abandoned and seems to be nothing but a spam venue now, but anyone
can feel free to use it if they like. If someone reputable want's to step up
I'm happy to make them a moderator, I just don't have the time to spend hours
on a chatroom these days

Yes, but of all the possible features to be implemented, chat is really low on
the list.

When hell freezes over is the projected completion date.
At this point I'm just happy the current site stays up.
Asking for anything more just seems like pressing our luck.
