This message from a buyer today:

"Since I have not heard from you despite two emails I can only assume you do
not want to fill my order so I will proceed with requesting a cancellation if
I do not hear from you in the next day or so."


Her email is bouncing everything I send and I am guessing from BrickLink since
she says she never got an invoice. My Outbox indicates that messages were sent
ONLY to her email address, the same one that is bouncing everything.


I've run into this problem before and would like to suggest that the default
setting here:

http://www.bricklink.com/pref_contact.asp

is "Receive Contact Messages To: Both E-Mail and My Messages." That way
problems like this are less likely to happen.

Wouldn't those messages you send STILL be on the order at the bottom ... (not
that they would open up their order on the placed page and see them).

Should we add a NRB (non-responsive BUYER)?

Maybe you should start a "NPB" .. just to get their attention.

What I am asking for, since this has happened several times if that buyers not
be allowed to turn off BL messages so that at the very least, if email fails,
the message is in their inbox.

Some may not want random contact via BL mail, so perhaps only when there is an

Is this a normal "contact member" message or a "regarding order #" message.
It seems to make a difference.

I'm sure you probably already sent a message thru BL order to check their spam
/ junk mail folder? (... just so it is documented on the order when Admin/Mod's
gets involved.)

Did the buyer login after you've sent the BL messages?
Click on the username on your orders receivedpage to see the last login date.
She should have seen the yellow ".. Unread messages" above the page.

And saw this ** above. So they should get something (if they ever log into BL)

The buyer should see a yellow alert on top of the page.
The "Unread messages" is checked automatic by BL: http://www.bricklink.com/mySettings.asp

I wish there was a yellow alert! One for invoices sent too!

Ok, now I see what happened, I think. She must have contacted me using the
contact form, and I replied to that initially. Then later I attached messages
to the order AND sent a money request from paypal.

It's time for a drink!

The buyer should see a yellow alert on top of the page.

Her email is bouncing everything I send and I am guessing from BrickLink since

ONLY to her email address, the same one that is bouncing everything.


I've run into this problem before and would like to suggest that the default
setting here:

http://www.bricklink.com/pref_contact.asp

is "Receive Contact Messages To: Both E-Mail and My Messages." That way
problems like this are less likely to happen.
