| I suggest an addition to the BrickLink banner at the top of all pages: Optimized
for Microsoft Internet Explorer
In this day and age, people expect that websites will generally work seamlessly
for all browsers. That is not the case at BrickLink. And it is a continous
source of frustration for users.
While I am confident this issue (along with 936 other suggestions) will be rectified
whenever BrickLink 2.0 is finally implemented, it seems simple enough to make
the change now and hopefully avoid some of the confusion while we wait.

Other then the one known issue with setting sales in stores, I have not run into
problems using Firefox for anything I have tried to do on BrickLink. It also
runs seamlessly on Safari on my iPad. Maybe I am just lucky, but I believe many
user's errors stem from other computer and network issues and not just their
browser.
A banner like that would also imply that the site is optimized for the newest
version of IE, which I don't believe is accurate.

Try to list a single item for sale without knowing the exact part number/minifig
number/set number in firefox....when you select the category the box that normally
populates after you select a category is blank not allowing you to proceed.
Making it difficult to list an item for sale should be a priority fix imo, but
alas does not appear so. Yes there are workarounds for most of the stuff, but
how can that be encouraging for new users? Or people with limited tolerance
of programming issues/a site not working the way it is supposed to?

We have 4 computers that we regularly use on BL. 2 using IE, 2 Firefox. The problem
you describe works fine for me on Firefox. A lot of these problems seem to be
affecting some users and not others. I wonder how much is due to the combinations
of other programs that others have on their computers? Note that I am no expert
but could it be Java related for example - either needing some updates or new
updates not being compatible with certain functions? Net, I don't really know
but the problems seem to be random amongst users. FYI, on the laptop I use for
adding inventory using the functions you state I am running Windows XP Pro SP3
and Firefox. The other machines are using combinations of Windows 7 and Firefox
or IE8 and also have no problems with those functions.

Hmm, then there must be some other variable. All our computers are of different
types, ages so I'm stumped on this one. Maybe we are just lucky!

I just fired up Firefox to test this and the box populated fine for me as well,
using Firefox 11 on Windows XP.
Works in Google Chrome as well.
Intermittent issues such as this are the worst to diagnose and correct.

I am able to list items this way in Firefox (although I almost always list items
through their catalog listings.) I have received a warning message on the page
you mentioned about the data not being encrypted. It is entirely possible that
some user's firewalls or security software are what is causing some issues.
Since the errors are not occurring for all users, it is difficult to prove what
is really the cause of the problem. But, these kinds of problems are universal
to all websites...I have issues with Lego's Shop at Home site all the time!
