| I would suggest that Bricklink allows for more than one address.
I have most of my orders shipped to my home address but sometime, with larger
orders I prefer them delivered to my work address as someone is always there
to receive it.
I would like to be able to select which address at the time of placing the orders
as sometime the address on the paypal payment is not seen by the seller.
Both these address' are registered and confirmed with paypal.

I agree. I just ran into this yesterday with an order I placed. The seller
is in the USA, and I have an address in the USA for those types of shipments,
so I had to make sure they got my manual message, and didn't auto-ship to the
BL address.
PayPal offers multiple address selection, BL should, too.
Locutis
Resistance is futile.

Sounds a good idea.
Selecting multiple adresses on two places (BL and Paypal) could create more confusion.
Some sellers only ship to the Paypal adress (required for their protection).
Some sellers only ship to the Bricklink adress (buyers responsibility).
Add the desired adress on both Order and Paypal comments.

Yes, I would also like this to include a check box that the buyer has to complete
stating that this IS where he wants his order shipped. We regularly get orders
(with no comments about shipping) then get the Paypal payment with a completely
different address to that on the order (BL address). This causes delays to shipping
the order as we then have to check with the customer where they want their order
shipped to. We don't guess as experience has shown half come back and say Paypal
address please and half the BL address. We even had one that replied requesting
the order be sent to a 3rd address different to both Paypal and BL! Net, whatever
the solution it would be good if the buyer had to confirm somehow on the order
the required shipping address, it is amazing how many order without thinking
about this, move house without changing BL address, etc, etc.

Absolutely agree. I often build things for my kids and it ruins the surprise
if they see a Lego package at the house before the build is completed

I like the idea, but the last sentence contained the heart of the problem: Paypal.
The secondary address has to be stated or mentioned in the Paypal payment notice
for me to use it as a seller. I'm not sure the few protections Paypal offers
to sellers would would be protected if the alternative address is mentioned only
here. And given the number of orders where Paypal is the payment method, I think
this should be considered.

Yes please.
I personally would prefer a billing address, which must match the paypal
address* if the buyer uses paypal as a payment method and one or maybe two seperate
shipping address.
That way of formatting would be more familiar to people than just having different
addresses. Seems everywhere I buy from nowadays asks me for a billing and a shipping
address.
Gareth
*this could be as simple or as complicated as necessary. From just saying it
but not actioning to allowing sellers to refund and cancel if the billing and
paypal addresses dont match to actually developing some sort of verification
system with paypal (dont ask me how, I dont know).

Why is in 2022 still not implented?
I life in Switzerland and have a shipping address in Germany which I use for
shipments for EU and most of the World, because it's cheaper and easier which
the customs.
So when I want to order from Switzerland I really need a second account? Thats
a joke.

Are you meaning you wish to avoid Import taxes and wish BrickLink to help you
regarding this?
| So when I want to order from Switzerland I really need a second account?
|
Yes, just do it?
I'd recommend you FireFox, Fox and Keepass to save locally your credentials
and don't have any problem to log in any place, in like a click.

Sorry didn't get a message that someone replyed to it.
No I don't what avoid Import taxes. DHL and Co. want so much money for something
which I can do myself.
As an example I ordered something form Italy, would I have ordered in directly
to me, I would have paid Import taxes and DHL, around 60€. When I do it myself
it's around 10€.
All People in Switzerland do similar stuff, nobody want avoid the Import taxes.
I just want one account, like I have for Lego, with multiple mailing addresses.
Every online store in the world can this!

| Totally agree - some sellers in Europe do not ship to the United States. I'd
like to be able to ship sets to a forwarder so that I can have access to more
sets when sellers would prefer not managing the inconvenience of international
shipments.
