We have parted out quit a few sets in the past few months, and of course sold
parts from many of these sets. Is there any way to see how many parts have sold
from a particular set, so I can determine whether or not to re-purchase a set
to part out? I know you can see in the inventory parts left from any set that
have been parted out, but not what has been sold. I would like to see what I
have sold so far from a set to know whether or not it has been worth the cost
of a purchase. Does this make sense to anyone, other then me?

No, at least not that I'm aware of but would be an AWESOME feature if it where
added to Brick Link.

My wife makes us a spreed sheet for each set to do just that and then we subtract
the parts form the oldest set we bought first and work our way to the newest.
If you don't keep up on it religiously its not worth the effect though we got
a little over a month behind once it it was a pain to catch up on it.

It makes sense. There's no real way to do it within BrickLink.

If you wanted to put some effort into it, you could do it in Excel. Set up a
spreadsheet with the inventories of each of the sets you've parted out. Export
all your order details from BrickLink, and then using COUNTIF() you can find
the total sum sold of each of the parts in the inventories. Sum these, or sum
the sales value, and you figure out which sets are good choices to replenish.

If you put a set # in "my remarks" on the default inventory, I think it shows
up on your copy of the order.

I've done that before, seems to be a good indication.

You can sorta do this already.

At the bottom of your "my inventory page", there's a part out log which tells
you what sets you've parted out. Also on the right side under "show more options"
there is a parts from set option. So using the two you can look up a set you've
parted out to see how many lots remain.

However this isn't perfect because if you've parted out 2 sets with the same
part then it will show up under both. But it will give you a rough idea of how
many lots have sold from the set.
