Morning Brick Link buyers and sellers.

This came up again today.

We were told this policy is an "attitude" when it is just a plan to keep our
prices down.

I would again like to suggest that the system allow the seller to set the lot
limits for purchases.

People just do not read the splash page!

Then when they are informed of the information, they say we have a bad attitude
or worse leave negative feedback.

We have no choice in the matter. We cannot afford to get 1.00 20+ page orders.

We are barely making it now with the current lot limit/discount in place.

Thank you for understanding, and I hope that this gets put in place soon!

Have a great week.

You have other options you can implement while working within the existing system.
You can change individual lots into bulk lots, forcing people to order 20 of
an item as opposed to 1 or 2. This drives down the low cost lots.

It could be complicated to officially implement lot limits, but I do think it
would be a good addition to the system.

While the option to set up bulk order amounts exists, it's a bit clunky if it's
being used in place of lot limits.

Marc.

The truth of the matter is that most suggestions are not being implemented. So
my suggestion was to take existing functionality of the site and use it to lessen
the burden.

I certainly understand your need for such a feature. I have a 1,400+ item, 200+
lot order I'm filling. In my case, simply informing the Buyer that it may take
a few days to pull such a massive order, communicating the delay, worked well
and they were very understanding. Perhaps, as has been suggested, you should
up your lot quantities so that minimum amounts of product are being moved every
time you have to touch a bin.

It is actually a good suggestion (more useful than many I have seen).
However, it likely requires a code change (or addition) and getting that at this
time is probably not realistic.

I have seen one seller implement custom functionality, during the checkout process
(something I do not think the standard seller setup allows for).

I am wondering, did this seller need to get something special opened up for them,
or is this something other sellers can do (if they know how to code or find someone
to code for them?)
Can a seller put in their own custom checks, during the checkout process?
