| Hi,
At the moment, I am processing a 283x lot order. While filling this order I thought
of an idea that might be useful, especially for large lot orders! I would like
to suggest implementing on the order detail screen, or make it a option, to number
each lot. I know the order detail does show the total lot number near the end
of the page but I thought numbering each lot would be extremely useful! Processing
a large order like what I am doing now takes a fair bit of time and I will not
be able to process the whole order tonight. But if I do say 100x lots tonight,
I'll know that I have another 183 to go, plus I know exactly where to start again
the next day.
This would I assume be a simple process especially when the feature for the total
lots is in place already. I know it seems a little thing, but I think it will
be very useful for processing large orders.
Thank you for your consideration.
Brett.

This is exactly what I was steered towards last time but it really doesn't fit
the bill.
I pick my orders using a tray with 20 holes in it. If I have 19 of those holes
filled it would be nice to just glance back at the screen and see item number
19 on my screen is the last lot I've just put into the tray.
It's not much fun to come to the end of a 200 lot order and find that you've
only got 19 out of 20 holes in the tray filled - means you've managed to skip
a lot somewhere

Big yes from me!
I suggested this a few years ago and Admin Dan said it wasn't needed (no-one
else really seemed to understand what I was waffling on about either)
I processed a 271 lot order over the weekend and it's not much fun not knowing
if you're at the right place or not

I vote yes too, especially if it can be dynamic and auto saving when you tick
the boxes, that way all is not lost if theres a power cut or something.

| Yes, I was curious to know if anybody else suggested it in the past! I must have
missed your post that time, or like everybody else, didn't know what you were
waffling about .
Good to know that others feel the same way about this

It would need to be creaated at some point after the order is received. I don't
know what order the lots are captured in by the system (in order placed by buyer?)
but the seller can choose how to sort the order to display it. e.g. we sort ours
by stock location (remark), some other sellers choose part number. It would not
be useful for the system to allocate line numbers to the order before that sort
othrwise your line numbers would appear in a random order. Otherwise, I can see
that this could be useful, yes.

OK, yes I hadn't linked that but I guess that's why the check boxes are called
"temporary".
Thinking some more, the solution is compounded by orders that are received in
small batches, we usually combine all the batches and sort by location before
picking the order (unless we've already picked it then received an extra batch).

| You can download the order as tab-delimited or CSV (check for include detail)
and import to excel, open office or other favorized spreadsheet program.
you can then sort and rearrange and number the lines.
I also could provide print template for Brickstore with line numbering, showing
picture, condition, part name/number, quantity, price and remarks.
If not wanting to print this only helps if you have a pdf writer to use as a
printer.
(Mac OS X has this built in, really like it)

I could really use such a template!
Could I get this from you? I would find it very useful picking my sets from my
stash of Lego!
I use PDF printer right now in combination with Brickstore, but cannot seem to
get all the info I want on the page. This sounds like what I need!

| Hi all,
after some requests, here for all:
http://www.el-lutzo.de/BrickLink/Detailed_numbers.qs
copy it to the print-templates folder.
I think if brickstore is running you need to restart it as scan
the folder for print-templates during startup
if you are on a mac, locate the brickstore.app, right-click "Show package contents",
print-templates folder is located in resources folder.
if you want to figure out what I changed, I added a parameter "number" to the
function listitem() which passes the actual item count.
Try and figure out the drawtext lines, I added the number in the beginning and
the remarks in the end. somewhere I changed font size.
Now prints nicely two pages on one (printer settings) and is still readable.
Lutz
PS: place an order if you like it... No must, just kidding
